CY Executive is delighted to be working exclusively on a fantastic Financial Controller opportunity within a well-established, innovative manufacturing company based near Droitwich, Worcestershire.
This is a hands-on, broad-ranging role that will encompass all aspects of the financial management of the entity and reporting into the London based parent company.
The Role: As a Financial Controller, you will take full responsibility for the financial operations, leading a small finance team and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting.
This is an on-site position where you will be involved in all areas of the company's finances, from day-to-day accounting functions to strategic financial planning and analysis.
The new Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) by providing commercial finance support, developing reporting processes, managing the budget, and collaborating on broader business decisions.
You will also ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements and support HR functions.
Key Responsibilities: * Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and forecasts.
* Manage the annual budget process and ongoing financial planning.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including audit oversight.
* Provide commercial finance support to the SLT, including sales and margin analysis, pricing strategy, and stock review.
* Support HR-related functions.
* Report into and liaise with the London-based parent company on financial matters.
* Lead and develop the finance team.
We are looking for a confident and qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a broad range of financial experience, ideally from a manufacturing or similar background.
You will be highly adaptable, hands-on, and experienced in top to bottom accounting requirements.
Experience with Sage 200/Sage payroll systems is desirable, and the ability to influence and support strategic business decisions is key.
Key Requirements: * ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
* Proven experience in management accounting, financial control and parent company reporting requirements.
* Manufacturing sector experience or similar.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
