Our Client Situated in the UK, but with over a thousand branches across South Asia they have established themselves in one of the most rapidly growing economies.
Continued expansion into emerging markets, driven largely by it's export business and its textiles industry, they have positioned themselves as a 'big player' within these sectors.
They play a key role in facilitating trade finance transactions between the banking sector in South Asia and global correspondents.
It has also ventured into commercial mortgage and Trade Finance Corporate Risk activities.
The Role The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing financial operations, overseeing financial reporting, analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and UK regulatory requirements.
The role is primarily based in the London area but offers flexibility for some hybrid work.
Experience The ideal candidate should have strong financial statement preparation and reporting skills, along with solid analytical abilities and comprehensive finance knowledge.
A deep understanding of accounting principles, UK banking, and regulatory reporting is essential.
Attention to detail and accuracy are critical, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience with financial software and systems is also necessary, along with relevant certifications, such as CPA or CFA, being considered a plus.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required for this role.
