They are looking for a strategic Financial Analyst experienced in finance, and regulatory standards within the Utilities and Energy sectors.
In this impactful role, you'll help shape a program worth up to £300 million by enhancing reporting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis across departments to ensuring every decision meets rigorous regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities Conduct cost benefit analysis of proposed load related projects, evaluating financial viability and providing recommendations to guide decision making.
Assist in preparation and submission of regulatory returns.
Ensure load related activities and expenditures are compliant with regulatory requirements.
Provide data-based insights in relation to load related volume drivers, to optimise regulatory performance.
Help identify opportunities for improvements in load programmes and financial performance.
Develop and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in DSO processes.
Communicate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations and regulatory teams, to ensure alignment on load-related strategy and objectives.
Promote a culture of safety awareness amongst team members and colleagues.
Experience Previous experience in finance/data analysis Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the utility / energy sector Detail-oriented with strong analytical background, excellent communication and presentation Forward looking when considering the delivery of decisions, activities and projects.
Analyse problems and identify key issues that need actions, to draw logical conclusions Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other reporting / BI tools Ref: 14930 Role: Financial Analyst – Energy experience essential Location: Manchester – Hybrid Salary: up to £45,000 DOE
