We are seeking an experienced and driven Financial Advisor with a strong focus on retirement planning and pensions to join our team.
The ideal candidate will help clients navigate complex pension options, assess their retirement needs, and create tailored financial strategies to ensure a secure and comfortable retirement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their retirement goals and current financial status, including existing pension arrangements, savings, and investments.
Retirement Planning: Develop customized retirement strategies that account for clients' desired lifestyle, income needs, and retirement age.
Provide guidance on building and optimizing retirement savings through various pension schemes.
Pension Advisory: Advise clients on different pension products, including workplace pensions, private pensions and pension consolidation options.
Product Recommendations: Suggest appropriate financial products that align with clients' retirement objectives, such as annuities, drawdown plans, and tax-efficient savings solutions.
Compliance and Regulatory Guidance: Ensure all advice and actions comply with UK pension regulations and guidelines (FCA), including any relevant updates to pension legislation.
Portfolio Management: Regularly review and adjust client portfolios, focusing on asset allocation and risk management to help achieve long-term retirement goals.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, offering ongoing support and conducting periodic reviews to adapt retirement plans as personal or market circumstances change.
Market Research: Stay informed on current pension legislation, tax rules, and market trends to provide clients with accurate and up-to-date advice.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: In-depth knowledge of UK pension products, tax considerations, and retirement planning strategies.
Strong communication skills to explain complex pension concepts clearly and concisely.
Analytical skills to assess pension transfer suitability, investment risks, and long-term financial planning needs.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills for building client trust and maintaining relationships.
Compliance: Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and best practices under the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Education and/or Experience: Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent, with FCA accreditation.
Chartered Financial Planner status is advantageous.
A strong focus on retirement planning and pensions.
Demonstrable track record of advising clients on pension products and achieving financial goals.
