Financial Accounting Manager

CY Executive are seeking a motivated and experienced Financial Controller within the charity/non-profit sector to lead the financial accounting function within our client's organisation.
Working closely with the Head of Finance, this pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of year-end statutory accounts, regulatory returns, and ensuring robust financial controls across accounts payable, receivable, balance sheets, and investments.
A key focus of this role will be managing and developing a small financial team to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities: * Lead and motivate a small team of financial professionals, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
* Take responsibility for the preparation and accuracy of year-end statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and charity SORP.
* Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of Nominal, Sales, and Purchase Ledgers monthly, ensuring proper debtor controls and accurate ledger updates through to the trial balance stage.
* Manage payroll processing, ensuring tax, national insurance, and pension contributions are correctly accounted for, and ensure year-end data files are cleared for the new tax year.
