Financial Accountant, Vat - 6 Month Ftc

As a core member of the Finance team you will be responsible for collating both domestic & non-domestic VAT and sales tax returns.
As part of this process you will be responsible for ensuring the tax treatment of related transactions is correct in NetSuite, alongside compliant supporting documentation, such as VAT invoices or proof of export.
Please note that we are currently registered in the following countries: UK, Italy, Netherlands, France, Spain, Switzerland, UAE and 12 US States This role and the team are hybrid based out of Telephone House in Shoreditch, London.
This role does have in-office expectations because of how we operate as a team and business, and although we're really open to what those are and how they work, this team does require 2–3 days a week together in the office.
We regret that we are not open to fully remote applications right now for this reason, but what we can offer is a flexible working approach which can be discussed per role and a host of team cultural activities and treats in our office.
Requirements You Will: Ensure the tax treatment of related transactions is correct in NetSuite and ensure compliant supporting documentation, such as VAT invoices is obtained and uploaded to NetSuite Liaise with internal and external parties to obtain applicable VAT invoices Ensuring any necessary corrections are processed in NetSuite prior to period close and submission of Returns Monthly preparation and submission of UK VAT Return and preparation and submission of other VAT and Sales Tax Returns for all jurisdictions where applicable Improve the current VAT Return processes and support the Commercial Finance & Operations Manager with various finance/accounting tasks Complete other ad hoc tasks as required e.g.
