Purpose of the role We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team at Zego.
In this role, you'll be a cornerstone in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of our financial operations.
You'll collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to deliver insightful financial analysis, translating complex data into actionable strategies that drive impactful decisions.

What you will be doing Responsible for posting monthly journal entries in multiple currencies and intercompany recharges and payroll entries into NetSuite.
Multi-currency bank reconciliations (Client Accounts and Operational Accounts).
Assist and support the finance team with the monthly accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflow).
Prepare insurance-related reconciliations, including the maintenance and reconciliation of Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) ledgers.
This will involve ensuring accuracy and compliance in client and insurer balances.
Assist in client money calculations, ensuring adherence to FCA CASS 5 rules, with a focus on safeguarding client funds and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Monitor and reconcile accounts to provide clear and accurate reporting on client money positions and insurer balances.
Assisting with the preparation of a monthly finance reporting pack and annual statutory accounts.
Liaising with other areas of the business to resolve any ad-hoc finance queries that may arise.
Assisting with monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and annual audit and regulatory requirements.
Resolving any queries on bank receipts and payments and preparing payment runs across multiple provider and multiple currency bank accounts.
What you will need to be successful Part or fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Proven ability to work independently, manage numerous assignments concurrently and thrive in a fast paced changing environment.
Strong all-round experience in accounting tasks. Experience in dealing with numerous ledgers and in multiple currencies. Experience with NetSuite is an advantage. You'll be a go getter and thrive in a fast paced changing environment.
Ideally you'll have experience in working in a startup environment.
