Financial Accountant

Job Description: Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Financial Accountant to support their finance team in producing accurate financial reports and enhancing business processes across the organisation.
Job Responsibilities: Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
Support operational teams by providing financial insights, profitability, and cost summary reports.
Manage compliance tasks, including preparing tax returns and leading audit processes.
Review and authorise financial transactions, ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
Assist with the implementation of process improvements and the rollout of new financial systems.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitor financial performance against targets.
Liaise with internal departments and external auditors, ensuring robust financial controls are in place.
Provide analysis and review of capital expenditure proposals and participate in post-investment evaluations.
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
Proven experience in preparing management accounts, audits, and budget management.
Familiarity with tax compliance and regulatory reporting standards.
Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and proficiency in business applications (e.g., accounting software).
Desirable Skills: Experience with process improvements and system implementations.
Knowledge of inter-company transactions and financial reporting tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
