Role Purpose: As our Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing and directing the transactional and accounting shared service finance function to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial statements; as well as establishing and maintaining effective control environments.
The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record in driving change and team development.
What you'll be doing: Providing accurate and timely consolidated reporting of 16 manufacturing sites' financial statements ensuring accounts are produced in line with relevant accounting standards and group policy Overseeing the Accounts Receivable function and ensuring both customer invoices are issued in a timely manner and debt is closely managed Manage the external audit process for all relevant entities managed by the Shared Service centre Driving accuracy in cash flow forecasting Coordinating Group deliverables Acting as a link between Commercial, Operations and Financial accounts Ensuring high service levels to the Finance Director and Operations Finance teams Ensuring robust, defendable and understood balance sheet position across all sites Establish and maintain a strong internal controls environment Delivery and driving improvements in FSSC KPI's Managing the budget and forecast process from a Finance Shared Service perspective, coordinating inputs from other functions and ensuring expectations and timetables are communicated Formal Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge: * Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) * Breadth of financial experience * Finance system management and internal control * Leading a team / managing people * Knowledge of accounting standards * Strong communication skills - finance and non-finance * Ability to challenge and support multiple senior stakeholders to ensure quality outputs * A `can do' attitude demonstrated in a challenging environment.
Practical Experience: Proven ability to identify, drive and manage opportunities to standardise processes to for efficiency and consistency.
Strong system and spreadsheet capability.
