This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday based in our Bury St Edmunds Head Office.

As the Finance Officer, you will be working closely with and reporting to the Finance Manager.
Coordinating the day to day duties within the finance department and contributing to the strategic projects set out by the Finance Manager.
You support the Finance manager with new processes and reports, whilst updating existing reports for Budget Holders, Managers, and the Directors.
You will need to have attention to detail but with the ability to see the whole picture.
This is a developing role and the successful post holder will have a genuine passion and interest in management accounts. Duties include: Oversee purchase and sales invoices and ensure they are completed in a timely and accurate fashion Forecasting Ledgers are updated and credit control completed weekly.
Monthly reports to budget holders and Management VAT submissions Payroll and Pension (incl HMRC submission and payments).
Overseeing Company Credit Cards and Pre Payment Cards, ensuring all transactions are recorded on Sage Manage supplier accounts inc ordering systems.
Scheduling and attend meetings, creating agendas and taking minutes (using online calendar).
Complete end of year and submit to Accountants.
Essential: Ability to represent the organization to outside bodies and those within local communities.

Ability to manage issues relating to health and safety in the office.

Good standard of written and verbal English Good standard of Microsoft Office and Accounting software Highly motivated, adaptable and able to work under their own initiative The ability to admit mistakes and ask for help and guidance.
Desirable: Experience using Sage accounts and Sage payroll Experience of producing management reports and analysis Experience of VAT submission and end of year accounts.
