As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for the Framework and Policy of our Stress Testing Data Framework (STDF) submissions to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
Leading on the development, maintenance, and updating of the STDF framework and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Your role will involve working with stakeholders to facilitate accurate data collection, validation, and reporting as well as providing training, and communicating policy changes.
Additionally, you will oversee the process for stress testing data submissions, continuously improving the efficiency of the STDF framework and policies.
To excel in this role, you will have experience of financial regulation and policy management, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in managing projects and processes.
Attention to detail, the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
Experience in managing key controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks is also crucial.
This role sits within the Financial Planning & Stress Testing team which plays a vital role in ensuring Nationwide remains Built to Last, by running a year-round financial planning and stress testing programme that helps senior management really understand risks and vulnerabilities facing the Society.

What you'll be doing As the STDF Framework and Policy Lead, you will oversee the coordination and management of our stress testing data submissions for both actuals and projections returns.
Your primary focus will be on managing the STDF framework and policies, ensuring compliance across the organisation throughout our submission cycle, and keeping all relevant teams updated on any changes in requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Framework and Policy Management : Develop, maintain, and update the STDF framework and policies, ensuring they align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Compliance Oversight : Ensure that all teams adhere to the established STDF policies and procedures, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and address any compliance issues.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Work with various stakeholders to ensure they understand and comply with STDF requirements.
Provide guidance and support to facilitate accurate data collection, validation, and reporting.
Training and Communication : Conduct training sessions and provide resources to educate team members on STDF policies and any updates.
Ensure clear and effective communication of policy changes across the organization.
Process Management : Oversee the process for stress testing data submissions, ensuring that all steps are followed correctly and efficiently.
Monitor and analyse data quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance : Stay updated with regulatory changes and industry trends related to STDF, incorporating relevant updates into the framework and policies.
Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency of the STDF framework and policies.
Implement strategies to streamline processes, reduce redundancies, and enhance overall effectiveness.
About you As a minimum requirement, you will: Hold a degree in finance , Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
Show experience in regulatory compliance and the ability to interpret and implement financial regulations.
Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional & external stakeholders teams and present findings to senior management.
Have a proven track record of implementing data governance policies and ensuring data quality.
Display strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
Experience in managing key controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Ability to design, implement, and monitor control mechanisms effectively.
