We are excited to be recruiting for a Commercial Manager/Finance Manager based at Kew Gardens The Botanical.
Location: TW9 3AE Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, 5 over 7 days Key responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Report all financial aspects of performance to senior managers and the head office support team, including Profit and Loss (PnL), Forecast, Labour, and consumption reports.
Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial information by the finance team.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness across all commercial activities Commercial Analysis: • Conduct commercial analysis of sales performance, labour, and theoretical Gross Profit (GP).
• Propose commercial improvements to increase profitability and operational efficiency.
Cost Management: • Transfer all costs and place and track all relevant accruals accurately.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.
Sales Reporting: • Send weekly sales information to clients and senior managers.
• Update senior managers with figures for monthly reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Payroll Management: • Check weekly payroll figures to ensure they match with reporting.
• Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Stakeholder Communication: • Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial performance and commercial strategies.
• Act as a key point of contact for all commercial matters, providing insights and recommendations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or professional accounting qualifications preferred).
Proven experience in a commercial management role within the hospitality industry.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
Excellent knowledge of financial reporting and commercial analysis.
Demonstrated success in cost management and improving profitability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
