About the Job This full-time Finance Manager position is crucial to the organisation's financial management and reporting functions.
Reporting to the Business Manager, the role oversees finance staff and ensures compliance with statutory financial requirements while managing budgets and payroll.
Duties will include: Producing accurate monthly management accounts with detailed performance narratives.
Managing annual and three-year budget preparations in collaboration with the Business Manager.
Supervising payroll, pension administration, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
Maintaining cash flow forecasts, reconciling discrepancies, and managing banking processes.
Overseeing financial systems, controls, and asset management, ensuring due diligence.
Supporting audits, statutory returns, and financial reporting for regulatory bodies.
Line-managing finance and reception staff to ensure effective team operations.
About the Successful Applicant The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with advanced knowledge of accounting standards and financial legislation.
They will possess strong organisational skills, excellent proficiency in financial management systems, and a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
Experience within an educational environment is desirable but not essential.
