Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a thriving entrepreneurial business on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
Based primarily in Retford and with hybrid working, this role is ideal for a finance professional ready to make an impact in a high-growth, multi-territory environment.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of full monthly management accounts for multiple entities, including reconciliations, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow, with variance analysis.
Manage intercompany reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation of accounts across the group.
Contribute to the preparation of the monthly board pack and internal reporting, ensuring compliance with lender covenants.
Take charge of cash management initiatives, including detailed rolling cash forecasts across multi-currency accounts.
Oversee multi-territory VAT returns, corporation tax, and other external reporting requirements.
Coordinate the year-end statutory accounts and audit process, working directly with external auditors and advisors.
Support the CFO on tax compliance, export/import tax, and other key financial matters.
Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, partnering closely with other departments to support strategic goals.
Qualifications & Experience: ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant with experience in high-growth SME environments, preferably multi-territory.
Proficient in preparing consolidated accounts and handling intercompany transactions.
Strong commercial acumen, capable of aligning accounting practices with business objectives.
