What youll be doing The Finance Manager will be responsible for the ownership of the monthly management accounts processes and content of all subsidiary books, and particularly the Balance sheets of all the group entities.
This position will support the Group Financial Controller oversee the development of accounting procedures and financial policies.
You will contribute to efficiency of monthly reporting systems and motivate and help with implementation of more effective processes and strategies and may also have accountability for establishing and maintaining management information systems.
Tasks will include: Production of month end management accounts to ensure accurate and timely presentation of actual results, forecasts and targets.
Prepare and conduct monthly cost reviews against budget.
Understand the books in detail and reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly.
Ensure that all assets and liabilities are fairly reported and are correctly impaired when required per FRS102 Help prepare the monthly commentary with the help the Senior Management Accountant in the delivery of all monthly reporting.
Monitor Financial Internal controls and ensure ongoing compliance to these controls Ensure consistency and compliance with external reporting requirements.
Manage, monitor, interrogate and report on financial KPIs to understand areas of focus for the team.
Handle internal queries and providing financial support for staff on site.
Supporting the finance team to ensure a smooth close to month end by Working day 5 across for all legal entities.
Working with the Group Finance Controller to ensure Audited Group Consolidated Financial Statements and related tax returns are produced on time.
What were looking for Good Excel skills, with the ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data.
Attention to detail, with emphasis on tracking changes and change control processes.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), building partner confidence through regular and clear dialogue.
Experience in implementing reporting systems.
A strong desire to solve problems, along with a continuous improvement mind-set.
Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA.
Technically up to date with a good understanding of UK reporting standards UK FRS102 Good systems experience Experience in practices is very desirable.
Able to point to previous successes in preparing audited financial statements.
