Finance Manager / Knowsley / Permanent, Full-Time / Salary £50,000 -£60,000 We are proud to be working exclusively with our client who are a leading organisation within their sector, based in Knowsley.
Our client is looking for an experienced, ambitious and dynamic Finance Manager to join their senior leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with a strong SME background to take on a strategic role, driving financial performance and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
As the Finance Manager, you will provide strategic financial leadership and management, ensuring that the company's financial operations align with its goals and objectives.
You will lead financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and cash flow management across multiple business entities, working closely with the Managing Director and senior management.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead financial strategy, collaborate with senior management to drive performance, and provide insightful financial analysis for decision-making.
Budgeting & Cost Control: Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, implement strong financial controls, and monitor project costs.
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare management accounts, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and manage audits.
Cash Flow & Capital Management: Manage cash flow, working capital, and advise on funding and financing strategies.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small finance team (3) , fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Systems & Process Improvement: Enhance financial processes and systems for improved efficiency and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience Required: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
Experienced producing management accounts and reporting, ideally within a similar SME role, reporting into an MD.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing a finance team.
Strong track record in financial system implementation and cash flow management.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working in a fast-paced sector such as manufacturing/FMCG or construction finance.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
