Position: Finance Manager Schedule: Full-time Location: London Euston Reporting to: Cluster Head of Finance BioTalent are working with a global medical diagnostics company who are seeking a experienced Finance Manager to join their country leadership team.
This role will work closely with the UK General Manager to ensure informed decision-making in both strategic and operational matters.
The Finance Manager will act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and other members of the management team, reporting directly to the Cluster Head of Finance.
This position is crucial in aligning their UK operations with group-wide processes and best practices.
Key Responsibilities: Actively participate in the leadership team to drive strategic initiatives.
Ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting to the management and corporate functions.
Lead the budgeting and financial closing processes, including ongoing performance monitoring.
Continuously develop robust systems and processes to enhance internal structures.
Take primary responsibility for cash flow forecasting and liquidity analysis.
Serve as a strategic partner to the General Manager, supporting business growth through detailed analysis and KPI development.
Provide excellent business controlling support to operational teams, facilitating informed decision-making.
Manage financing activities and serve as the main contact for banks and external stakeholders, including auditors.
Oversee and develop the finance team to ensure high performance.
Technical Experience Requirements: Financial Reporting and Accounting: Internal and external financial reporting, preparing and reviewing financial statements (e.g., GAAP or IFRS), managing month-end and year-end closing processes, maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Planning: Leading annual budgeting cycles, forecasting cash flow needs, creating financial models for performance projection and scenario planning.
Financial Analysis and Business Intelligence: Defining and tracking KPIs, performing variance analysis, and using data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
ERP and Financial Systems: Proficiency in ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, and accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage.
Process Improvement and Automation: Streamlining financial processes and familiarity with tools like RPA (Robotic Process Automation).
Stakeholder and External Relations: Managing relationships with banks, handling treasury operations, preparing for audits and coordinating with auditors.
Excel and Analytical Skills: Advanced Excel skills, experience with financial analysis software such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or Hyperion.
