Hays Senior Finance are working with a growing and innovative business near Ellesmere Port who are recruiting a newly created Finance Manager role.
The business has c100 working in the UK and they provide services and solutions to some of the largest and most complex businesses in the UK.
The UK business forms part of a global operation and finance is centralised elsewhere.
The Finance Manager role in the UK is a stand-alone position with dual reporting to both the UK management team and also the centralised finance function.
As a true Financial Business Partner, you will lead the provision of appropriate cost reporting and support the development of new systems and processes across the company to ensure effective cost collection and invoicing.
The company has multiple ongoing projects and various business lines.
You will need to track and report on all of these.
Duties will include: Update of financial forecasts, estimates to complete and estimate at completion with input from Project Team Support Project Managers and Commercial Managers with commercial topics Challenge financial performance of the project, comparing to budget Control sales order and invoicing process Secure SAP workflow with support of Group Finance Translate sales orders into project budget Set up financial reporting in line with group guidelines Monthly closure to Group Finance regarding projects Provide project P&L in line with guidelines set by Group Finance Margin and GAP analysis Monitor bought in services by allocating costs accordingly and updating relevant budget Provide the Project Manager with financial impact of identified risks from the Project Team, in close contact with the Project Services manager Previous experience in a project-led environment would be useful but not essential.
Interested candidates would have a solid management accounting and reporting background as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
This role will spend a lot of time working with non-finance, so the ability to influence and translate finance is crucial.
