Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team and oversee financial operations, compliance, and strategic initiatives in the aerospace and defense industry.

Key Responsibilities Day to day accounting activities: AP/AR/GL/ VAT/Tax Prepare accurate and detailed financial statements, working to applicable accounting standards Month end and year end closing Support for the Oracle integration : Key User FP&A processes and business partnering activities such as Management report preparation and Gross Margin analysis.
Completeness and U.S. GAAP compliance Journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring proper support exists Manage the integration of the account reconciliations to the electronic system (Blackline) Coordinate and drive resolution of statutory audits for international subsidiaries.
Coordinate with the US internal audit team to review and update controls as necessary as the business grows; ensure compliance with assigned SOX internal controls and respond timely to all audit requests.
Coordinate monthly and annual payroll run with external provider Manage ad-hoc queries related to payroll Support requests from external auditors to complete US group audit Oversee Finance 3rd party service provider preparation of annual statutory tax filings Coordinate banking transition with the International Treasury team Lead local process improvement initiatives relating to inventory Initiatives include BOM process review, improving average costing process, Partnering with the International Finance team, supporting improvement on accounting principles and Budgeting margin analysis, inventory management of offsite inventory Establish, maintain, and improve appropriate financial and operating controls, processes and policy procedures, and systems, ensuring their integrity.
Cash management (end-to-end process) Build an understanding of the financial performance and the commercial background and be able to articulate this to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
Build strong working relationships and alignment with the wider finance function and local staff Travels to International HQ once a quarter Skills and Experience Qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant (or equivalent) Previous experience in Aerospace and Defense or any Industrial environment is preferred.
Previous Financial Controller experience is preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Previous managerial experience 3 to 5 years.
