WHAT IS THE ROLE: As a member of the leadership team for Yours Clothing and all brands owned by the group you are responsible for the efforts, results and success of the business.
Your role is to provide advice and support to the board and senior management team to enable effective decision making for the current and future progress of the company.
Additionally, you are required to provide direction and leadership, minimize risk and maximize opportunities for all functions within each given area of responsibility.WHAT YOU WILL DO:People Management of the Finance department within an entrepreneurial business that requires agile and adequate cost-effective resourcing including the provision of goals, objectives and supervision of the Finance team.Provide direction, communication, development and motivation for Finance department ensuring success is achieved through our people, harnessing of talent and enabling succession planning for professional growth.Provide the board with monthly and annual budget and KPI updates with variance reports.Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out in detail and reviewed.Optimise the company's financial performance and strategic position.Take overall control of the company's accounting and budgetary planning function.Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.Analyse and interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as required.Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banks.Take ultimate responsibility for the company's cash management policy and its implementation and reporting.Present annual accounts to auditors and oversee the audit process.Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.Corporate Finance: detailed input into merger and acquisition activities, as required.Ensure Finance systems, activities and processes are robust, legally compliant and support current business activities and future growth.Budget responsibility of Finance area including forecasting of capital and operational expenditure, managing expenses and ensuring adherence to agreed budgetsSponsorship of improvement proposals and continuous improvement initiatives for Finance areaWHAT YOU WILL BRING:Outstanding loyalty and commitment to the businessStrong leadership abilitiesEmbodies the company values and passion for the business throughoutHighly diligent with a desire to be the bestInspires and creates an environment of creativity and forward thinkingAbility to adapt to frequent change and a high-pressure environmentPersistent, will do what is required to get the job doneOperate with high integrity and opennessCommitment to good governess
