Job SummaryAnord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Finance Controller to our team in Kendal or Blackburn.Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, the Finance Controller will lead an excellent finance team, whose members are strong communicators, ambitious & innovative.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting activities and effective financial operation of the function and implementing appropriate financial and accounting procedures to coordinate transactions to ensure compliance to relevant legislative and corporate directives and to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations.What a typical day looks like: Lead and manage the accounting team and financial process – planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting and internal controlCoordinate and oversee the financial aspects of the assigned business segmentPrepare Business Unit forecastOversee the activities of the Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, 12 month rolling forecasts and annual auditsOversee the activities of the Accounts Receivable Department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc.Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value, including complying with the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley ActPrepare reports that summarise and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operationsReview company financial statements for accuracy and clarityImplement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.The experience we're looking to add to our team: Relevant BSc/MSc degree along with additional credentials (CPA, or progress towards achieving)Strong background in finance (typically 7 years), ideally with manufacturing experienceExperience in and understanding of US GAAPSolid leadership / management skills Possess strong Excel skills, demonstrable experience using Excel extensively Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsExcellent attention to detail and high level of accuracyEligible to work in the UKWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide: A long-term role with many opportunities to learn, grow and develop – we turn jobs into careers.An environment where you will feel fulfilled by your work, valued for your contribution, and celebrated for your success;A competitive salary and benefits package which includes:A merit-based annual pay reviewEnhanced annual leaveAttendance bonusEmployee recognition scheme and long service awardsReferral bonusVolunteer daysGroup Life Insurance, including a death in service payment and access to a virtual GP service 24/7 365 days a yearSick pay schemeCycle to Work schemeEnhanced maternity/paternity leaveFlexible/Remote/Hybrid Work based on your Job FunctionTravel opportunities (role dependentSupport in your well-being by access toEmployee Assistance Programme offering free access to qualified counsellors and expert adviceOn-site trained Mental Health First AidersAccess to various discount programs (including food, activities, gym memberships etc.
