Sowena Group has been exclusively retained by a high-growth and acquisitive private equity backed services group based in the Greater Manchester who is looking for a Finance & Operations Business Partner.
In line with the private equity investment strategy, this newly created number role will play a crucial role in supporting the COO by ensuring the highest operational performance for the organisation.
Bringing a dynamic and commercial approach will be instrumental in driving growth and supporting the company's strategy plans with either new investment or an exit.
Daily Responsibilities: • Attending operations meeting with key functions to support the delivery of projects and long-term work streams • Supporting the Company's active acquisition plan from inception, through to due diligence and subsequent integration • Building partnerships and strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams, and providing financial support to commercial decision- making • Delivering analysis and insight on business opportunities and providing options and scenarios for business decisions • Conducting market research studies and analysis to assess current market trends • Presenting financial performance, full-year forecasts and budget variances, including understanding financial opportunities and risk • Driving efficiencies and cost savings wherever possible • Dealing with and working through issues of conflict and operational challenges with project teams and other stakeholders • Understanding the cost drivers of the business and providing insight to non-finance members • Assist the COO in respect of reports and presentations to the Board regarding financial and operating issues and developments • Work with the IT department/ data team, to recommend suitable technology solutions to enhance our financial modelling and analysis capability.
• Working across all pillars within the Company to develop trusted relationships and influence with key stakeholders across the business • Undertaking ad hoc duties as agreed with the COO Competitive salary + Benefits + healthcare + Bonus This role would suit a fully qualified commercial accountant who has had experience working within a fast-paced organisation or within audit/corporate finance, ideally that has been on a growth journey.
