Financial Business Partner with Smart DCC London Office Only Competitive Salary plus benefits Role An exceptional opportunity to join this wholly owned subsidiary of a FTSE 250 company on a high-profile contract in a key, strategic position.
As a Finance Business Partner, we are seeking an individual who is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience engaging and influencing at executive level.
The role will be partnering senior leaders in the business as well as members of the executive team ensuring they are receiving financial support in all their business decisions and future financial outlook.
This is a forward thinking, fast paced business area operating within a flexible working environment.
What will you be doing? Finance Business Partner to Operations Directors, as part of wider DBR (Design, Build, Run) FunctionFinancial assessment of business activities and projects specific to functionsSupport and input towards the publication of Charging Statements, Indicative Charging Statements and indicative budgets.Work with senior management team in preparation and review of business cases, providing detailed feedback on submission, continuously work towards improving the processProvide appropriate level of challenge to senior leaders on cost proposalsBudgeting and quarterly forecasting of costs and timing of cash outflowsManage and report on key risks, issues and opportunities affecting projects and functions that the role supportsPrepare and deliver accurate month-end/year-end management reporting for functions and projects which this role supportsIdentify and drive improvements/efficiencies in existing processesSupport on the introduction of the Ex-Ante framework that will be rolled out across the businessOther ad hoc assignments as necessaryWhat are we looking for? ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with minimum 2-3 years post qualification experience.Ability to provide clear analysis of performance driversDemonstrates initiative and takes responsibility for commercial issues, seeing them through to completionTrack record of implementing change to improve financial processesExperience of engaging and influencing at executive levelExperience in taking ownership of financial issues under their remitExperience of working in the energy, government or telecommunications sectorsExperience of working in a regulated environmentComfortable operating within a matrix environmentEffective communicator – both written and verbalStructured approach to problem solvingDesign, build and manage financial models and reportsAbout the DCC: At the DCC, we believe in making Britain more connected, so we can all lead smarter, greener lives.
