The Finance Business Partner (FBP) will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance by providing insightful analysis and strategic support to the Sales team.
The FBP will act as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between finance and sales functions to help achieve revenue goals and enhance profitability through financial planning, analysis, and decision support.
Duties and responsibilities: Financial Analysis and Planning: Collaborate with the Sales team to forecast and manage the sales pipeline and revenue targets, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals.
Perform variance analysis, evaluating actual vs. forecasted performance to identify key drivers of revenue and profitability.
Develop and maintain sales KPI reports, highlighting trends and opportunities for improvement.
Strategic Support: Support strategic initiatives, such as pricing models, sales incentives, and promotional strategies, ensuring financial viability and alignment with overall company objectives.
Work closely with Sales leaders to identify potential revenue streams and assess the financial impact of new business opportunities.
Provide recommendations for resource allocation, investment prioritization, and cost management within the Sales department.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the Sales division, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with broader company financial plans.
Conduct periodic re-forecasting to capture changes in market conditions or strategic direction, presenting implications to senior management.
Decision Support: Serve as the go-to financial advisor for the Sales team, delivering actionable insights and robust financial modeling.
Prepare business cases for sales initiatives, evaluating ROI and advising on risk mitigation strategies.
Partner with Sales to develop and implement sales targets, commission structures, and performance measurement frameworks.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a finance liaison to sales leaders, building strong relationships and fostering a collaborative approach to achieving business objectives.
Present financial insights to senior management and Sales stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Experience: Excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to operate and influence at all levels within the organisation Focussed on execution with a positive, pragmatic attitude and willing to take a "hands on approach" when required The ability to identify root cause issues and recommend/implement system and process changes Vertex Associates Limited acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
