You'll have the opportunity to shape the financial culture within these departments, influencing financial decisions and driving initiatives that ensure efficient resource allocation, and long-term success.About the RoleAcorns is currently the UKs largest childrens hospice charity, in terms of both numbers of children and families supported and annual expenditure on our care work.
We need to raise more than £11 million each year to run and support our care services and we rely heavily on the goodwill and generosity of our local community.
As Finance Business Partner, you willProvide confidential and expert support to the services, advising and influencing on complex matters that deliver sound financial governanceDevelop a detailed knowledge of service activity drivers to quantify income and expenditure projectionsEnable service leads to manage the finance aspects of their service in a commercial environmentManage the annual budgetary cycle and deliver robust financial plansManage and review the preparation of business plans, looking forward up to 36 months aheadConstructively challenge budgetary decisions highlighting potential risks and further opportunitiesSupport business case development for business improvement projectsAbout YouCCAB qualifiedPost qualification experience in a business partnering environmentExperience in reporting, budgeting and forecastingExperience of financial planning, reporting and variance analysisExperience of supporting monthly management accounts productionStrong influencing and negotiation skills, with ability to present credible arguments to senior employeesWhat We Offer£50,000 to £56,000 per annumContinuation of current NHS pension scheme or generous contribution to group personal pension plan37 hours per weekHybrid role with office and home workingEmployee discounts from leading retailersEmployee gym discount schemeBike-to-Work schemeNHS pension scheme life assurance or Acorns group life assurance schemeYou need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
