Finance Assistant

The Role This role will be responsible for day to day tasks that are critical to keep the department running.
The Finance Assistant will also provide cover for trade creditors during periods of sickness and holidays.
The Finance Assistant role has the potential to grow and develop as the department does.
You will support in a number of mini projects which include process documentation, ERP super user (training, upgrades, new process implementation), continuous improvement and supporting in producing the monthly board reports for UK and Australia.
An example of some of the responsibilities are Processing Credit Card and Cash Expenses Cash Book Entries Assist with monthly reconciliations Support in producing & distributing monthly management reports Support the finance team in budget preparation and variance analysis Maintaining sales contracts and raising customer invoices Supporting finance tasks during busy periods/absence Assisting with the preparation of the supplier payment run Highlighting and resolving invoice queries and sending supplier remittances Supporting with Year End Audit where required Requirements Experience as a Financial Assistant or in a similar role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal and relationship building skills and be an effective team member IT Literate with working knowledge and experience of MS Office packages Have strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Self-motivated with a positive mindset and the ability to work on own initiative Benefits Your future at MacTaggart Scott – What we offer As part of our Healthy Work-Life Balance employees can choose between a 4- or 5-day working week.
