4basebio is an innovative gene synthesis company with the ambition to provide high quality, synthetic DNA for use in gene therapies and gene vaccines.
The company is setting up a new research and development team at our offices in Cambridge, UK to facilitate the scaling and optimisation of our proprietary DNA manufacturing process.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance assistant to assist our CFO and Management Accountant.
The role is focused primarily on transactional finance tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and bank reconciliations.
However, we're also seeking someone with a keen interest in expanding their skillset and getting involved in more technical aspects of finance, such as analytical reporting.
The ideal candidate will be IT-literate, particularly with a solid understanding of Excel, and eager to contribute to various tasks within a small but dynamic team.
Responsibilities: Manage the Accounts Payable process.
Processing invoices, preparation of payment runs.
Credit control: assisting with maintaining cash compilation, allocation and reconciliation.
Daily bank account and credit card reconciliation.
Analytical reporting on a developing suite of financial and non-financial information Assist with the preparation of the Group Annual Report Assistance with any other ad hoc duties appropriate to the role Person Specification: Part-qualified UK Financial Accounting Qualification Confident IT skills particularly in MS Excel Ideally comfortable working in a small but dynamic team Keen to advance and learn new things Comfortable being involved in technical as well as transactional aspects Must hold right to work in the UK Must live within a reasonable commute of our Head office at Over, Cambridgeshire as you will be required to attend the office a minimum of 4 days per week.
