We are looking for a Trials Officer to join the Frontier team, based at Swallow, Lincolnshire on a permanent, full-time basis.
You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of specified trials at our trials site, working in conjunction with the Central Trials Manager.
Frontier's Trials Development programme includes work on varieties, crop protection, nutrition and precision agronomy techniques.
Occasional travel to other locations will be required.
This role would be suitable for an applicant with previous trials and/or machinery operation experience however we are open to candidates without this experience as training can be provided.

Your Role As a Trials Officer your role will involve: Operating tractors, plot combines, fertiliser spreaders and sprayers.
Delivering and executing spray and fertiliser programmes.
Organising, implementing and executing trial plot spraying.
PA1, PA2 and telehandler certificates are desirable, but training can be given.
Working in collaboration with the Central Trials Manager to ensure all work activities are completed in a timely manner.
Supporting and delivering workload to agreed protocols whether as an individual or as part of a team.
Monitoring crops to ensure treatments are applied accurately, on time and under GEP guidelines.
Carrying out plant, soil sampling and disease assessments as required.
Ensuring full record of all trial activities are logged in ARM.
Full training will be provided.
Responsibility for implementing and adhering to PPE recording, Risk Assessments and COSHH.
Working to Frontiers Health and Safety standards.
Ensuring all Trials sites are maintained to the standard set by the National Trials Lead.
Ensuring all Trials centres are safe and secure for all personnel to visit and operate on.
This role includes working outside with exposure to rain and sunshine and physical activity such as walking, bending and lifting supplies.
This role includes the use of pesticides to which full training and support will be given.
