Job Title: Field Service Engineers, Electric Highway Based at: Regionally based (North and South region roles available) Position reports to: Head of Operations Role overview: Responsible for maintaining the Electric Vehicle Chargers across the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway Network GRIDSERVE is a tech-enabled sustainable energy business whose purpose is to deliver sustainable energy on the scale needed to move the needle on climate change.
To achieve this, it has pioneered a proprietary Sun-to-Wheel ecosystem that involves creating the most advanced hybrid solar battery farms, developing and managing the UK's most popular electric vehicle charging infrastructure and launching an innovative electric vehicle leasing programme.

The Field Service Engineer will attend customers' sites, maintaining the EV Chargers on a day-to-day basis, carrying out maintenance on installations, performing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance as directed.
Keeping accurate and detailed records and reporting in timely manner.
You will supervise and coordinate 3rd party contractors carrying out works on site when needed and liaise with external stakeholders such as suppliers and partners.
Key Responsibilities: · Undertake planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements.
· Perform reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner.
· Adherence to and management of health and safety requirements at all times whilst also helping to maintain and improve safety standards across the Network.
· Carry out site surveys requests as required.
· Carry out duties according to our company on call rota system.
· Compile accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner.
· Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, high voltage and safety documents that are suitable for audit.
· Ensure reports are provided in a timely manner and of a good standard at all times.
· Provide support during the commissioning and onboarding process.
· Ensure work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity.
· Develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policies · Comply with all aspects of the Company's ISO standards: Quality management - ISO 9001 / Environmental - ISO 14001 proactively contributing to the company's continuous improvement programme.
Certification and Skills Required: · Relevant electrical qualifications – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent · City & Guilds 17th/18th BS7671 · Adaptable and flexible – will need to work flexible hours to meet deadlines.
Occasionally working away from home.
· Computer skills; word processing, spreadsheets, email, management and reporting systems, including the use of diagnostic and troubleshooting tools · Outdoor nature of work makes it physically demanding, able to work outdoors in all weather conditions · Excellent communication skills, fluent written and spoken English · Positive, can-do attitude · Ability to work both independently and as part of a team · Able to respond to changing priorities and issues, and an enthusiasm for personal development · The ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals · Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and follows good practices, especially whilst lone working on site · Full clean Driving License Desirable: · Good understanding of communications, wiring systems and schematics · Inspection and testing – C&G2391, 2394 & 2395 · EV charging qualifications and experience · Health & Safety qualifications (e.g.
