Kornit Digital, a leading-edge company that develops manufactures and markets state-of-the-art printing solutions for the textile, garment & apparel decorating industries looking for a Field Service Engineer in the UK (Central UK).
· Carry out installations & verify the functionality of new Kornit systems, including unpacking, configuring components and positioning according to factory standards and guidance documentation provided · Deliver training to print operators and maintenance staff focusing on machine operation, routine maintenance work and basic application knowledge · Perform general maintenance, configuration and adjustment according to maintenance manuals as required · Carry out scheduled maintenance and replace, clean or repair worn and defective parts and carry out fault-finding analysis, diagnosis and repairs as described in the corresponding manuals (on-site or remotely where appropriate) · Return defective, used and/or unused parts according to Kornit policies · Apply upgrades and product modifications as implemented by the product line · Provide 1st level support to customers experiencing issues related to their Kornit systems and application software over the phone and using remote tools, such as remote controlling Kornit Digital systems, retrieving log files and setting information, correcting and adjusting settings · Participate in support hotline coverage, including support during extended service hours according to a defined schedule · Document all activities using the approved systems and tools provided by Kornit for this purpose; currently salesforce.com service modules · Liaise with the Service Coordinator and Hotline Support Engineer regarding ongoing service cases · Escalate cases to the Technical Manager or Service Manager where required and provide service case information such as Installation Field Reports (IFRs), Completion of Installation sheets (COIs), images or videos explaining specific situations or statuses · Promote Kornit's service offerings amongst our customers; such as service contracts and maintenance programs · Perform other related duties as required Region: UK What should you have?
· Technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology · Minimum of 5 years experience in field engineering positions, servicing complex electro-mechanical devices · Willingness & flexibility to travel (at times overseas) up to 70% of the time · Knowledge of the digital printing industry such as industrial inkjet technology, RIP/colour management, materials/ink/chemicals, and experience in textile printing would be an advantage · Excellent solution-finding skills · Knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Windows operating system · Self-motivating personality & can-do attitude · Effective communication skills and customer management skills · Required language skills: English (fluent in writing and speaking), additional languages are an advantage · Driving license with validity to drive within Europe is mandatory Don't check all the boxes?
