They pride themselves on their position in the market and their focus to deliver innovative, quality products.Role Overview: Field Service EngineerJoining their dynamic team servicing the Leeds, Sheffield and Doncaster triangle, my client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to conduct PPM, fault finding & reactive maintenance work for their customers' pumps & compressors.
The ideal candidate needs to be mechanically biased with electrical skills and want to be part of a close-knit team who values trust & integrity.Key Responsibilities:· Please note that this role is 80% planned preventative maintenance, 20% reactive maintenance on average.· Responsibilities on average are 80% mechanical and 20% electrical work.· Responsible for working in the field and servicing / repairing both vacuum pumps and compressors.· Mechanical work includes: conducting oil changes for pumps, filter changes for pumps, and fixing breakdowns due to limited maintenance work.· Electrical work includes: swapping vacuum pumps like for like, fault diagnoses on switchers, contactors and checking the electrical currents of pumps.· Responsible for conducting installations, commissioning, fault finding & repairs when and where necessary.· Happy to spend on average 1 night per week/fortnight away from home.
Our client limits this as much as possible.Requirements:· Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a mechanically biassed engineering role also requiring some electrical skills.· NVQL3 or a B-tec in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.· Experience with rotating equipment & experience with pumps/compressors is preferred.· Experience within the pumps & compressors industry is not essential, but preferred.· Happy to work in the field and stay away from home when necessary.Package:· £34,000-£39,000 p/a· Company van· Company mobile· Company laptop· Company pension· Lucrative overtime package· Flexible start & finish times· Company credit card provided and travels/overnight stay expensed· Day shift: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, working hours 8am-4pmCandidate location:Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley, Wakefield, Castleford
