Position: Field Operations Manager Location: Manchester + the North Salary: £50,000 Hours: Monday to Friday days / 38.75 hrs between 8am-6pm Benefits Package: Van + Fuel card + Mobile Phone About your new company My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company who have been established for over 100 years are now looking for an additional skilled Field Operations Manager to cover Manchester and the surrounding areas.
As Field Operations Manager, you will manage a team of field-based advanced technicians and engineers, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of repair solutions with a strong emphasis on achieving a "fix right the first time" standard, while consistently providing outstanding customer service.
About your new Field Operations Manager role: Lead the recruitment process, onboarding, and training You will identify and resolve breakdowns efficiently and effectively Provide day to day ongoing support to all advanced technicians Manage completion of all relative administrative procedures to acceptable standards.
Ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer's instructions Provide advanced engineer / technician support during holiday and absence periods when needed Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers The successful Field Operations Manager will require: Ability to develop strong customer relations Previous mechanical experience and a strong technical understanding NVQ level 3 qualification as a Mobile HGV Technician (City & Guilds 3 in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair) Knowledge of current road traffic law/legislation Knowledge of latest diagnostic systems Experience in electrical fault diagnosis and resultant repairs, including the use of electronic diagnostic equipment.
