As a Telecoms Field Engineer you will be part of our diverse team who are responsible for the successful delivery of various projects andacross the countryfirst linemaintenance on our customers networks.

Covering the full network lifecycle, we deliver Managed Services and Projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets.
About the role As part of the Operations team, you will provide professional field engineering services on project activities for Customer sites.
Proven field engineering skills and aptitude are as important as the motivation and learning attitude required for working on national infrastructure projects.
Experienced team members will support your skill and confidence development.
You will collaborate with immediate colleagues within the team such as field engineers, technical leads, project coordinators as well as contractors and other personnel such project and programme managers, customer representatives on sites.
Effective communication skills are essential to convey technical information appropriately.
You will travel between sites mainly within your region during your working hours, but could be asked to cover sites located elsewhere in the UK with overnight arrangements.
Key Responsibilities Apply knowledge of fibre and networking principles to deliver project implementation across various delivery solutions across Customer sites.
Ensuring that Health & Safety and company quality standards are always adhered to, end to end testing of circuits, Installation, and commissioning of telecommunications equipment working with other colleagues or departments where required.
Installation and support of PDH, SDH as per customer orders and instructions received from PMs.
Planning installation once on site in a safely manner.
Escalate incidents to H&S and Operations Manager as needed.
Meet / exceed business, department and individual objectives and targets in line with the business, service, and operational requirements.
Assist with analysis of the root cause of faults and cooperate with other departments.
Input of the technical / engineering relationship with the customer Undertake site surveys as needed.
Complete assigned training in a timely manner.
Maintain and report condition of their assigned vehicles, equipment, tools and PPE.
Responsible for all contractors working under our RAMS, as Principal Contractor and Competent Pearson role played on site.
Complete site audits by schedule agreed with Engineering Operations Manager Recommend improvements and cost reductions where identified.
Skills & Experience Able to use MS Office package Good problem solving skills Applying LAN & WAN Internetworking skills (plug Ethernet cables and pre-staged devices as needed).
Pilot cable/copper cable knowledge and/or experience (multi-core), Cat 5/Cat 6.
Basic config onto Routers, Switches, Muxes.
Basic fault finding.
Good customer relations skills.
Good communication skills.
