Due to rapid growth within the business, we are currently recruiting for a Fibre Surveyor to join our vibrant and dynamic team!
At OCU Opals (Part of the OCU Group of companies), we design, build, manage and maintain vital communications infrastructure for every-day use for a better-connected world.
We work with major network operators, technology vendors and engineering companies to create the next generation of communication networks.
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Fibre Telecom Surveyor to play a key role in our network expansion projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting on-site surveys, assessing feasibility, and gathering essential data to facilitate the deployment of fibre optic infrastructure.
The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Duties of the Fibre Surveyor: Conduct comprehensive on-site surveys to assess the feasibility of fibre optic network installation.
Gather accurate data related to existing infrastructure, land conditions, and potential obstacles/SEDs.
Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to develop detailed survey reports and design proposals.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies during survey activities.
Communicate survey findings effectively to project stakeholders and address any queries or concerns.
Assist in the preparation of project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
What we are looking for: Previous experience in fibre optic network surveys or a related field is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using IT equipment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of telecommunications industry standards and regulations in the UK.
