The Fair is an independent live event production agency based in East London, specialising in festivals and large-scale events. We have been producing live events for 20 years, and we work with some of the most exciting independent festival promoters across the UK to produce festivals from 5,000 – 30,000 capacity in sports, activities, wellness, live and electronic music.
We deliver everything from venue-finding and site design to council liaison, procurement and on-site production management. From full production of Eastern Electrics, Boiler Room and Recfest USA to health and safety consulting for Houghton and Grosvenor Estates, our full-time team helps to deliver some of the most thriving live events across the UK and abroad all year round. We're always building our festival portfolio and working with our clients to grow their events.

During autumn/winter the team carry out planning for festivals and attend industry events and networking, and during festival season they're onsite as part of the production crew; building, delivering and derigging live events.

Role: We are looking for a new Production Manager to join our in-house production team. The role would be based in London, Hoxton with a requirement to work away from home for long periods, particularly over the summer. The role would suit someone from a festival and live event production background looking to join a team with a family feel.
A person suitable for the role should feel confident managing their productions and client relationships across the corporate and independent festival sectors and liaising with councils and suppliers. They will report directly to the Senior Management Team and be responsible for several of their own projects.
Responsibilities:Client management and liaison – regular updates, expectation management and debriefing.Site design and layout planning with knowledge of H&S guidance and regulations to be considered.Clear, succinct and appropriate scheduling of site build and derig.Procurement of suppliers & appropriate use of staff.Work with H&S / Ops appropriately to plan the show, coordinating between teams to create a holistic approach to show planning.Preparing for, attending and following up on SAG meetings.Act as a Production Manager on site, overseeing site management.Liaising with venue landlords.Working with the ops & safety teams to ensure the smooth running of events.Debriefing appropriately with suppliers, internal team members and clients post event.Keeping and storing all logs and audit trails post-event.Person SpecificationWork-based organisational systems for own workingExcellent time managementExperience in producing and delivering live outdoor events/festivals over 5,000 peopleKnowledge and passion for the festival industryKnowledge and Experience in leading the SAG processAbility to write Risk Assessments and ESMPsAbility to handle ongoing supplier liaison on behalf of WATFManaging budgets for client projectsInvoicingConfident in working with specs for site items, including fencing, trackway, plant, toilets, site water etc.Confidence in the procurement process for site itemsProficient user of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPointProficient in creating 2D CAD drawingsFull clean driver's licenceNEBOSH, IPAF, Technical production experience, Level 5 Crowd Safety Management, First Aid at Work
