Female personal assistant - English speaking - East Cambs Village CB6 £13.07 per hour Personal assistant required as soon as possible to support a female in Est Cambs Village area.
Early 50's female with physical disabilities.
Likes to be as independent as possible, in reality this can vary on a day to day basis.
Need support to do many tasks including those of a disabled parent.
£13.07 per hour with pro-rated annual leave.
Hours Required: 18 hours over 5 week days.
May be additional hours when husband is away on business.
Job description: Support with personal care in a dignified manner, meal preparation and cooking.
Help with medication Support with everyday chores, laundry, maintaining the domestic environment to the required standard.
Support with social outings and medical appointments.
Establish a close working relationship on a 1-1 basis.
Undertake any duties which may be reasonably allocated and fall within the scope responsibility of the job.
Needs may vary on a daily basis therefore hours, duties and tasks may alter slightly.
Person specification: Skills to be able to promote independence Knowledge and experience of working with people with physical disabilities.
Should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care, be able to work flexible hours and be a good communicator.
Possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.
Be hardworking, reliable, committed, honest and trustworthy.
Have common sense and be able to use their initiative.
Be cheerful with a good sense of humour.
Experience of working with people with physical disabilities would be advantageous.
An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
– This is to check for any previous criminal records.
All relevant training will be provided.
– This may be hoist safety, medication administering or food hygiene training as needed.
