Then look no further… Fleet Mechanical Engineering Manager Salary - Competitive (plus benefits) Hours - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm Location Postcode - Home Based, UKAs the Mechanical Engineering Manager EfW, you will be responsible for the delivery of mechanical related projects and tasks across the EfW fleet, supporting the Head of Performance and Engineering.
The role comprises the development and introduction of fleet wide mechanical engineering standards and supporting and advising sites on safe solutions to technical problems as they arise.
The role also comprises the oversight on H+S related mechanical issues and impact on the GE+ Safety Rules.The role is UK wide and requires visits to the respective sites.This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

- Implement our Health, Safety and Environmental and Quality Management systems- Ensure compliance with, and performance of, designated safe System of Work responsibilities- Provide engineering support and development for all EfW sites- Conduct onsite monitoring of the development of mechanical projects- Use engineering and design information to support the development of the sites CMMS- Conduct the initial development, delivery and ongoing review/revision of fleet wide mechanical engineering standards- Oversee H+S related issues in regard to mechanical aspects and impact on the GE+ Safety Rules What are we looking for?
- Senior supervisory experience in an Engineering and Maintenance function related to steam powered electricity generation or similar- Detailed knowledge and experience of Safe Systems of work, Safety Rules and Permit for Work Systems- A Mechanical or related Engineering degree or equivalent qualification- Membership of an appropriate Engineering institution- A NEBOSH or IOSH qualification About Us We are FCC Environment, one of the nation's leading waste and resource management companies.
