TheLeeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for flexible and reliableindividuals to work as Facilities Technicians (Patient Environment) at Leeds General Infirmary, St James's Hospital,Chapel Allerton hospital, Seacroft and Wharfedale sites.Wecurrently have permanent vacancies, for Facilities Technicians to work as WardHousekeepers on Wards, department areas or public spaces.
Various posts areavailable for Monday to Friday work patterns.
Please note at this time we haveno weekend posts available.-POST TYPE ONE: 07:00 - 13:30-POST TYPE TWO: 07:30 - 14:00 -POST TYPE THREE: 12:00 - 18:30 -POST TYPE FOUR: 12:30 - 19:00-POST TYPE FIVE: 15:00 - 20:00-POST TYPE SIX: 17:00 - 21:00Successfulapplicants will be invited to an interview assessment centre, date 28/01/2025however this is subject to change.
The assessment centre will consist of aninterview with set questions for the candidates around activities such ascleaning, ward food service, task prioritisation, infection prevention.

There will also be ashort interactive test where the candidate is asked to take part in a mockpatient interaction relating to something likely to be within the roleexpectation such as asking for directions, or having roble completing the mealfood orderAfull enhanced DBS check will be required for all roles Main duties of the job Theroles will provide cleaning duties (dusting, mopping, cleaning toilets, sinks,patient beds etc) within either wards, departments or public areas, dependanton which role the successful candidates are appointed into.
Within ward areasthe role is also required to complete full catering services to Patients (aftertraining has been given).-Ensuring the environment is cleaned to the highest standards.-Catering duties involve a caring, Patient centred approach to meal &beverage services.-There will be an expectation to complete ad-hoc duties when required.Theideal candidates will be enthusiastic, good team players and able to work ontheir own initiative and be able to demonstrate the Leeds Way Values, thesebeing:-- Patient Centred- Accountable- Collaborative- Fair- EmpoweredFullTraining and a uniform will be provided.
