If so the following permanent role might be for you… My mark leading manufacturer client is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to join their team in Newcastle-under-Lyme at a time of ambitious growth plans.
The Fabrication Supervisor will oversee daily operations in the fabrication department, ensuring that steel fire and security doors are produced efficiently, to the highest quality standards, and within specified timelines.
This role involves supervising a team of fabricators, coordinating workflow, maintaining health and safety protocols, and ensuring continuous improvement in production processes.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless production.
You will lead and manage the daily operations of the fabrication department, with a focus on producing high-quality steel fire and security doors.
This includes overseeing a team of fabricators, ensuring the efficient operation of Salvagnini and Trumpf punch and folding machines, and maintaining adherence to production.
This role is offered on a permanent basis of Monday-Friday day shifts (7am-4pm).
You will be responsible for: Leading and managing a team of fabricators, welders, and any other shop floor staff.
Ensuring that the team are meeting production targets and assigning daily targets.
Making sure that all products are meeting company quality standards Making sure that health and safety protocols are being maintained and making sure that deadlines are being met.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement in fabrication techniques and production methods, especially in the use of punch and folding machinery You will have: Proven experience in steel fabrication, ideally in fire or security door manufacturing Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting Excellent communication and organisational skills Proficiency in using manufacturing software for tracking and reporting production data.
