Randstad Construction & Property is partnering with a national Facilities Management provider to recruit a skilled and team-oriented Fabric Engineer to join their team in Manchester.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks on-site.
Location: Manchester (Static Role)Salary: Competitive (up to £33,000 depending on experience)Employment Type: Full-time, permanent (Monday to Friday)

Respond to and address reactive maintenance requestsComplete maintenance tasks within specified timeframesCommunicate with clients regarding maintenance and repair requirementsConduct site surveys and prepare Work Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for planned worksCarry out repairs to flooring and wall coveringsHandle ceiling tile repairs and replacementsPerform general building and installation work as requiredMaintain lighting systems, change lamps, replace filters in AHUs/FCUs, and assist with basic plumbing tasksComplete reactive and PPM jobs efficientlyManage minor project worksIdeal Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in Fabric Engineering or CarpentryProven experience working in high-profile environmentsCity & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in CarpentryCompetent in basic computer skillsStrong customer relationship management skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, instructions, and processesSelf-organized and able to manage tasks and material needsKnowledge of Health & Safety procedures (COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments, etc.
