Your new company Hays are seeking an energetic, skilled and caring practitioner to support children with additional learning needs for one of our schools based in the Sefton area.
The school is looking for someone to support in KS1 on a 1-1 basis.
This position is fixed term until August 2025 (in the first instance) and is linked to SEND funding.
Your new role You will support children with additional learning needs in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher.
You will work closely with other professionals in Key Stage 1 and act on recommendations from external agencies such as SALT, OT, EP and the Autism Support Team.
What you'll need to succeed Have confidence in supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs Be able to set high expectations for themselves and children Have a willingness to contribute positively to our happy team and become involved in the wider aspects of school life Be able to meet the demands of the KS1 curriculum Have excellent basic skills in English and Maths.
Be a highly skilled communicator.
