The Opportunity The EY-Parthenon Strategy team is currently seeking to expand their team and recruit Engagement Managers who will be able to build on their current strategy development, transaction and commercial experience, and work on a number of diverse and demanding projects for some of the largest Private Equity, Pensions, Sovereign and blue chip corporate clients.
Infrastructure ("Infra") is a rapidly growing area at EY with investment in expanding the capability within the space a key strategic pillar for the business going forward. Within this practice area, we are building significant Commercial capability, with an ambition to become a leading Strategy practice in the infrastructure space.
Within the Infrastructure team, we are hiring Engagement Managers to lead on buy and sell-side commercial due diligence and strategy engagements spanning transport infrastructure (including ports, airports and land transportation), Energy and utilities (circular economy - waste management and recycling (traditional and renewable generation) infrastructure and associated infrastructure services industry verticals.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of the energy transition, the opportunities it presents for investors to upgrade infrastructure to transport and distribute energy (incl. last mile), support the decarbonization of various forms of transportation as well as development of new forms of mobility.

The nature of the role demands a hybrid skill set that combines commercial diligence, strategy, qualitative and quantitative rigour to problem solving, with strong creative intuition and a proactive mindset.
Your Key Responsibilities As an Engagement Manager, you'll typically be responsible for leading our largest client projects, shaping the deliverables, client relationships, and wider team, with the support and coaching of our directors and partners.
You'll also be involved in developing proposals and bids, and actively contribute to EY-Parthenon thought leadership and internal operational initiatives. This will include:
Managing project teams of between 3-5 consultantsDelivering impact for our clients by leading teams and executing impactful case work, whilst supporting development of the Infrastructure practice within EY-P StrategyActively support EY-P Strategy Infrastructure team development, by championing Infrastructure within EY and to clients (e.g. via driving content) and help identify opportunities within existing clients and driving sales activityWorking closely with wider EY teams – across Business Consulting, Tax, Strategy & Transactions and Assurance to bring the best of the firm to our clientsCreating an inclusive culture throughout the team and within engagementsDeveloping a community within the team – owning / developing an offer, or other internal practice build initiatives such as Training, Professional Development, Innovation, Recruitment, etc.Investing in your own development and supporting the development of others to increase EY-P's expertise in Infra through on-the-job coaching and counselling / mentoring of junior consultants in the practice areaSkills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must: Have a minimum of 5 years working experienceHave prior experience of strategy consulting, preferably with commercial due diligence experience, or have strong commercial experience and/or relevant transaction experienceHave credible project management experience and demonstrate an ability to plan, deliver, structure, write and present work against tight deadlinesDemonstrate strong analytical skills and experience of combining these with Infrastructure sector specific knowledge to solve client issuesBe willing to share your technical and other knowledge with your team, through coaching of junior team-members helping them with on-the-job training, informal discussions and formal EY-Parthenon training modulesIdeally, you will also Preferably have a relevant sector focus within InfrastructureBe an excellent communicator, both oral and written with the ability to influence senior client and internal stakeholdersHave proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel is requiredHave business development experience, with the ability to drive proposal development, deliver pitches and build client relationshipsHave a drive to solve complex problems with senior stakeholdersBe an effective time manager, able to keep calm when under pressure to meet deadlinesBe a team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels in EY and with clients, both in the UK and internationallyWhat we offer We offer an attractive remuneration package where you'll be rewarded for your performance.
