Extrusion Operator

Overview The bpi division sits within the Engineered Materials Division of Berry Global Inc. a US listed company with an annual turnover of around $13bn and over 40,000 employees.The bpi division has manufacturing sites across the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland and Romania.
Berry Leominster is a polythene extrusion plant which manufactures agricultural films.The business is currently recruiting for Extrusion Operators working 12 hours shifts on a 2 days / 2 nights rota basis.
Qualifications Skills and ExperienceExperience in the operation of polythene extrusion equipmentExperience of working in a manufacturing environment (min 2 years experience) training will be givenGood team working and communicationPositive and pro-active attitudeBe able to work unsupervised and using own initiativeAbility to handle multiple priorities to ensure deadlines are met Responsibilities Duties & Responsibilities:Working safe in accordance with site procedures and safe systems of workReporting all hazards and act on them accordinglyHousekeeping on all extrusion lines, recycling units and packing automationMonitor of product quality and ensure all quality checks and testing is carried out in line with specificationsMonitor and manage line output rates, utilisation, scrap levels against plan/targets on each lineOperate extrusion machinery and monitor and manage recycling equipment on each unitEnsure accurate data is recorded and inputted correctlyEnsure a good handover of information to the incoming operator for Job Applicants
