As External Communications Adviser, you will shape the development and delivery of our external communications strategy for the Airspace and Future Operations programme, in support of NATS' vision, strategy and priorities.
We have two positions available with different specialisms, depending on experience: (i) Consultation, Engagement, and Change (ii) Content and Digital Communications If you do have a preference across these areas please include this your covering letter.
Other duties Include: In support of the PR & Comms Manager and Head of Corporate & Community Affairs, work with subject experts across NATS to develop and deliver tailored external communications and engagement strategies, campaigns, plans, and solutions which address the needs of NATS' vision and strategy Respond to business issues, developing appropriate solutions and responses and providing in-house consultancy, helping inform and influence subject experts and enhance their communication capabilities Produce and deliver high quality communications, engagement and consultation strategies taking a range of external factors into consideration Work proactively with departments across NATS to ensure external messaging is aligned and consistently delivered By creatively applying problem solving techniques, ensure the on-going and effective development of communications planning that inspires external stakeholders With the wider Communications team help raise the priority of communications, ensuring that messaging and activities are aligned, and opportunities shared Essential skills and experience: Significant external communications experience within a high-profile organisation Excellent communication, writing and editorial skills Good grasp of political and economic issues with a strong sense of the principals and mechanics required to deliver impactful creative communications to a broad audience A mix of honed diplomacy and business acumen reaching beyond communications Ability to tailor solutions to meet non-standard business issues Personable with superb influencing skills and the ability to overcome resistance Ability to work at both a strategic and tactical level with a strong attention to detail and an appetite to raise the bar A self-starter with energy and organisational skills to develop and manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders and changing agendas Confident networking skills, understanding how to establish media and industry contacts and use them effectively Proactive team player Additional vacancy information: We are proud to offer a fantastic total reward package to help you thrive both personally and professionally.
