Scope of role: We are recruiting for an Exhibitions Logistics Manager who has worked specifically in back end operations within events and exhibitions logistics.
The ideal candidate must have prior experience with UK, European, or global freight and transport logistics for shows, exhibitions, and trade shows, ensuring exhibitors receive their deliveries on time and directly to their stands.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the entire logistics process, from appointment by the organiser to delivery and return of materials from stands.
Client Engagement: Follow up on sales leads, issue quotes, process bookings, and manage client files.
Event Tariffs & Shipping Instructions: Prepare detailed instructions and tariffs for clients and exhibitors.
Global Coordination: Work with logistics and exhibition partners worldwide, securing rate schedules, shipping dates, and carrier information.
Customs & Compliance: Prepare customs documentation, liaise with brokers/agents, and ensure timely customs clearance.
Internal Communication: Serve as the key liaison between the Events and Operations teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and information flow.
Key Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar logistics role within exhibitions/events.
Strong knowledge of import/export customs regulations and formalities.
Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) at an intermediate level.
Must be a strong team player with the ability to work independently.
Clean driving license.
This role requires flexibility in working hours based on event schedules, which may include early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work.
International travel may also be required.
