Are you looking for an exciting and varied Paralegal role?
Our well-respected legal client is seeking an Executry Paralegal to join their busy Executry team in Edinburgh.
This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can apply your expertise and contribute to a supportive team.
What you'll do - Administer testate and intestate executries from initial meeting to conclusion - Proactively manage your own caseload while providing exceptional client service - Communicate effectively with Executors and other third parties as necessary - Identify and resolve client issues professionally and efficiently - Demonstrate a strong understanding of inheritance tax exemptions and reliefs, including the ability to produce inheritance tax calculations - Complete HMRC inheritance tax forms accurately - Prepare Executry accounts in compliance with legal requirements - Possess knowledge of legal rights related to executries, including calculations and common issues that may arise - Build and maintain positive relationships within the firm and provide guidance to colleagues across different specialisms - Adhere to the firm's financial policies, time recording, and AML compliance protocols - Maintain accurate records within the firm's document management system What you'll need - Relevant formal qualification(s), preferably recognised by the Law Society of Scotland's Accredited Paralegal scheme - Minimum of 5 years of experience in dealing with executries - Commercially focused approach to managing workload effectively and efficiently - Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal - Ability to establish and nurture professional relationships with clients and third parties - Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks High level of accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, including delegating tasks and supporting colleagues - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications What you'll receive - Competitive salary based on your skills and experience - 25 days holiday plus 8 public holidays per year, increasing with length of service - Non-contributory life cover from the onset of employment and income protection after 1 year What's next?
