Executive Director (Research)Key Responsibilities Provide insight and advice from economic, monetary and financial perspectives to inform various facets of the HKMA's work Develop rigorous theoretical and empirical foundations for the HKMA's formulation of strategies, policies and initiatives Direct the activities of the Research Department, providing intellectual and technical leadership to a professional team to drive excellence in research on economic, monetary and financial areas Represent the HKMA to lead and participate in regional and international conferences, meetings and seminars Establish and maintain research networks with other central banks and international financial organisations Champion and drive the use of advanced technology and analytics in the work of the Research Department Requirements Very strong economic background, typically holds a Ph.D in economics At least ten years' experience in a relevant field with extensive experience in leading specialised research teams Very strong record of research output Strategic thinking with a strong team orientation Excellent presentation skills and solid management experience Remuneration Package A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, with flexibility to take account of additional experience and qualifications.
