Here is what you need to know: Responsibilities: Design and create bespoke, high-end menus for Formula 1 events, catering to the specific needs of VIP guests, sponsors, and teams.
Ensure the menu includes a variety of options to suit different dietary requirements and preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and allergen-conscious dishes.
Develop seasonal and event-specific dishes that reflect the luxury and exclusivity of Formula 1 hospitality.
Lead a team of chefs, sous chefs, and kitchen staff, providing direction and guidance to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Conduct staff briefings and training to maintain high culinary standards and ensure that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
Supervise the preparation and presentation of all dishes, ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail.
Oversee the preparation and cooking of all dishes, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
Manage the kitchen's workflow to ensure that all courses are prepared and served seamlessly during busy race weekends.
Ensure that food service is coordinated with the front-of-house team for smooth delivery to hospitality suites, VIP lounges, and paddock clubs.
Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, in line with Formula 1's luxury brand image.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet or exceed guest expectations.
Implement portion control and waste management practices to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Ensure that the kitchen operates in full compliance with health and safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines and food safety laws.
Oversee the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all staff follow proper hygiene practices and safety protocols.
Conduct regular health and safety inspections, ensuring that all equipment, tools, and food storage areas meet required standards.
Manage the procurement and ordering of ingredients, ensuring the use of fresh, high-quality produce for all events.
Monitor inventory levels and control food costs by minimizing waste and optimising portion sizes.
Work within the allocated budget for each event, ensuring cost-effective food production while maintaining high standards.
Work closely with the event management, logistics, and front-of-house teams to ensure the seamless delivery of food and beverage services.
Communicate regularly with VIP hosts, sponsors, and corporate clients to ensure their specific needs and preferences are met.
Participate in event planning meetings to coordinate kitchen operations with the overall event schedule.
Conduct post-event evaluations, reviewing the success of the menu, kitchen operations, and guest feedback.
Provide recommendations for future events, identifying areas for improvement and innovation in the kitchen.
Ensure that all equipment and kitchen tools are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained after each event.
Be an advocate for Kitchen 27, McLaren and Restaurant Associates at all time Our Ideal Executive Chef: Essential Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in F1, a high-end hospitality or event catering environment.
Strong culinary skills with expertise in a variety of international cuisines and modern cooking techniques.
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading large kitchen teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and health and safety standards (HACCP certification is preferred).
Creative and innovative approach to menu development, with a keen eye for presentation and detail.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously during busy race weekends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with VIP clients and high-profile guests.
Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and travel internationally as required by the Formula 1 race schedule.
