Job overview Deputy Directorate Manager – Trauma & Orthopaedics Directorate Band a - Fixed term Months An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Directorate Manager to work in Orthopaedics .
The post holder will have experience of delivering against operational performance targets and will have strong communication, engagement skills and a good level of IT literacy.
We are seeking a proactive individual with excellent leadership skills who has the aptitude to facilitate and effect change.
You will contribute to the development of services in the Directorate.The Deputy Directorate Manager will support the Directorate Manager who in conjunction with the Clinical Director and Matrons are responsible for the delivery and management of all aspects of the Directorate including performance finance and workforce.If you are interested in applying for the post we would welcome your application.
Main duties of the job The Deputy Directorate Manager will support the Directorate Manager who in conjunction with the Clinical Director and with support of the Matron are responsible the operational management of services.
The post holder will be expected to work across organisational boundaries to make a positive contribution to the Trusts corporate objectives and contribute to shaping the future healthcare across the local economy.The post holder will provide senior leadership for the Orthopaedic, Rheumatology & Associated Services Teams, supporting the Directorate to maintain financial balance, the development and implementation of service improvements and engaging with teams to ensure best quality care is provided.The post holder will also be responsible for leading and delivering success across a number of key programmes within Directorate and the wider Division.
These programmes will be vital in ensuring the Division can deliver its primary objectives and targets over the coming years and will encompass a wide range of topic, including productivity and efficiency, quality, workforce and clinical effectiveness Working for our organisation Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country.
It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training, and research.
