Do you have experience working in a fast-paced global environment, building effective relationships?Are you confident briefing and managing senior stakeholders?Our client, a technology and data driven investment manager, is looking for an Events Manager with excellent interpersonal skills to join their Communications team and manage all aspects of event planning and execution.
This role involves the creative and operational elements of event management, with a focus on delivering engaging and tailored experiences for colleagues.The position is predominantly office-based, with some evening events, and may require occasional international travel.
What you'll be doing day to day:Planning and delivering a range of events such as team building/celebrations, internal conferences and talks, and large-scale company eventsSupporting events involving external groups using the firm's event spaceServing as the primary event lead, managing logistics and ensuring effective and cost-efficient execution of all event activityCollaborating with teams such as office management and facilities to ensure seamless event delivery, adhering to internal processesProviding logistical support to other teams managing their own internal and off-site events, including philanthropic initiativesDriving employee engagement by promoting events through internal channels and gathering feedback to improve future eventsNegotiating with venues and suppliers, securing competitive rates and building strong relationshipsActing as the internal expert on recommending venues, restaurants, and activities tailored to the event's size, budget, and objectivesDeveloping creative concepts to ensure memorable and impactful event experiencesThe skills you need to bring:Proven event management experience, including working with venues and suppliersExperience in briefing and liaising with speakers and high-profile guestsExperience in organising global events or working in an international environment is a plusExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with people at all levels, including senior leadershipAbility to quickly grasp company culture and employee demographics to tailor eventsExtremely organised with excellent time management and prioritisation skillsSolid promotional skills to maximise participation and engagement; an understanding of or background in communications, marketing, or PR is desirableFamiliarity with event management tools and softwareKnowledge of AV equipment, presentation packages (e.g.
